Toni Hamel出生于意大利，在加拿大多伦多郊区奥沙瓦生活和工作。Toni Hamel拥有莱切美术学院的BFA(意大利，1983)、Sheridan学院的计算机图形学研究生证书(加拿大鬼树，1991)、多伦多大学的金钥匙国家荣誉学会奖(1997)和鲁比姆奖(米兰，1983)。

“ 我必须指出，在我的形象中
没有什么是无偿的，也没有什么是偶然的
图平面中的每个元素
都是根据其携带特定信息的能力精心选择的
我不会对随意地介绍一个流行文化的角色感兴趣
只是为了这样做，或者没有考虑到隐含意义的完整性
我的小马驹出现在《牧场上的家》中
暗示着一个自然世界正在慢慢消失
被人造的、人造的、塑料的替代品所取代
——即使是那些我们最珍视的生物
最终也会被大规模生产的生物替代品——
